Honors Alum on Team That Discovered Gravitational Waves

USU Honors graduate, Sydney Chamberlin, was one of the participants in the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, which announced the discovery of gravitational waves on February 11, 2016. Sydney joined the LIGO Scientific Collaboration during her graduate studies at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and she is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Pennsylvania State University. She notes that her classroom and research experiences at Utah State prepared her for success in graduate school.
