Sarah is a junior double majoring in theatre and creative writing. She is also a Writing Fellow and Caine Scholar. Although Sarah is still deciding what career path to pursue, one of her goals is to get a dog (preferably a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) after graduating. In her free time, Sarah likes to read, play games with friends, travel, and watch YouTube videos about the Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Harry Potter universes.
College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences
Mia is a junior majoring in dietetics and minoring in German. She loves her major-focused nutrition classes and is excited to delve deeper into the dietetics program this next year. When Mia isn’t busy studying for her classes or working at her job at a local dental office, one can find Mia playing a variety of sports at USU. When her schedule allows, she tries to join intramural sports with her friends and take a new PE class each semester to add variety to her schedule. Mia has played intramural soccer, futsal, kickball, and softball.
Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services
Jacey is a freshman majoring in psychology and looking at a minor in statistics or biology. She hopes to go into research psychology with an emphasis in either neuroscience or cognitive psychology. When she’s not throwing herself at mind games, she can often be found in front of a piano or rehearsing for a play. With eight years of theater under her belt, Jacey is no stranger to the stage. She’s performed in state and regional competitions alike, even claiming first place in the 6A Regional Theater Competition.
College of Humanities and Social Sciences
Rebecca is a senior studying Communication Studies with a minor in Sociology and a certificate in Conflict Management & Facilitation. She is looking forward to continuing her education at USU next year in the Master of Social Work program. When not studying or working, you can find Rebecca curled up with a nice novel or chatting with her friends.
College of Engineering
Kade is a junior majoring in biological engineering. He aspires to go to medical school and become a medical provider who both treats patients and participates in relevant clinical research studies. Kade is an Undergraduate Research Fellow, has received an URCO grant, is an active participant in the CMV Antivirals Lab (Department of Biological Engineering), and is involved in various other on campus clubs and organizations. Kade enjoys spending time outdoors: hiking, horse riding, hunting, etc. He also loves to play sports, exercise, and spend time with his wife and family.
College of Science
Rachel is from Singapore and is a senior majoring in human biology and communication studies, with minors in chemistry and psychology. She is an Undergraduate Research Fellow working in a neurobiology lab at USU and is also currently involved with the International Student Council, Biology Undergraduate Student Association, and Asian Student Association. In her free time, she enjoys going on road trips, watching movies, and traveling.
Jentrie is a sophomore majoring in business management. She enjoys working with people and finding ways to improve communication and business practices. She continues to look for ways of applying strategies learned in her classes to real-world experiences. Jentrie has experienced much of what USU has to offer as she participated in many activities and felt welcome at all of them. When she isn’t frequenting Honors events, she loves playing rugby, working on her Chaco tan by laying on the Quad, skateboarding around campus, or roaming the Wasatch on her mountain bike.
Sophia is a senior majoring in wildlife ecology and management with a minor in biology. She is also an Honors Ambassador, works in the USU Science Garden, and loves hands-on research. Outside of school and work, Sophia likes to read, travel, and spend time outdoors. She spent this past summer traveling and assessing fish habitats for the Forest Service and looks forward to camping and hiking with friends as the year continues.
