Anita Sant
Utah State University, Class of 2005

Anita Sant has long supplemented her education with real-life experience abroad. Her list includes Canada, Mexico, England, France, Italy, the Vatican, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Turkey, Australia, and Argentina, where she says she was often mistaken for Melissa Joan Hart. ("Having men shoud 'Sabrina' after me was always something of an embarrassment.") Over December of 2004, Anita finally made an excursion to Antarctica and can now say that she's stood on all seven continents.
As for here, Anita was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she graduated valedictorian from Hillcrest High School. She paused her undergraduate work in 2003 to serve an LDS mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, then returned to Utah State to finish her undergraduate degree. Anita graduated Spring 2005 with a double major in Anthropology and Spanish, with Honors in Anthropology and University Studies, and a perfect GPA.
Since her graduation, Anita has been accepted to Pennsylvania State University's Leisure Studies program as PhD student. She plans to specialize in recreational therapy and hopes eventually to help those individuals who suffer socially, mentally, and emotionally by counseling them about recreational and leisure activities and helping them design rehabilitive plans.
