*Required for Freshmen
Program of Study:
The 15-credit requirement for Honors in Engineering is met in the following way:
MATH 2210 H (3)
PHYX 2220 H (4)
Senior Design Sequence (at least 5) This will continue to count towards the Honors Senior Project and will be required.
Remaining credits will be completed through Honors contracts (3-10).
Students have the option of taking a graduate level class for Honors credit.
Requirements for Completion of Degree:
The successful candidate will graduate with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, 15 or more credits of Honors coursework in Engineering, and will complete and present in a public forum an Honors thesis/project. Many students have found it helpful to relate the courses taken on Honors contract to the final thesis/project. The designation on the transcript will read "Graduated with Honors in [name of the major].
