Eligibility for Acceptance:
Qualified students will have cumulative GPAs of at least 3.30 and will have declared a major in Interdisciplinary Studies. They must meet with the advisor in their college above to complete and update their Departmental Honors Plan of Study.
Program of Study:
The 15-credit requirement for Honors in Interdisciplinary Studies is met successfully by completing:
- 12 credits in upper-division courses selected from 2 or more disciplines
- 3 credits to be taken under HONR 4900, Senior Thesis
Requirements for Completion of Degree:
The successful candidate will graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 and a GPA of 3.5 in upper-division major requirements and Honors course work and will complete and present in a public forum an Honors thesis/project. Interdisciplinary Studies students must combine the disciplines in which they have completed contracts in an interdisciplinary senior thesis or project.
