Support Honors Students

The University Honors Program invites alumni and friends to support our students by contributing in a variety of ways. The Honors Half-Century Research Fund seeks to establish $1000 research scholarships annually for every honors student. These scholarships support research costs (including data-gathering and research travel, project supplies, poster or presentation production, conference travel) for honors students working on or toward a thesis/capstone project. We also aim to support every honors student who chooses to study abroad with a one-time $1000 scholarship to help defray program and travel costs. Our newest innovation, the Honors Book Lab, requires funding for the purchase of books for reading groups that serve up to 200 honors students per year. Finally, a long-term goal of the Honors Program is an expansion and new building that will offer students state-of-the-art classrooms, study rooms, and lounges, as well as office space for an expanded Honors Program staff. Last year, Honors raised its student graduation rate by an impressive 45 percent, and we are committed to such continued growth. Please consider contributing $50, $500, or even $1000 to the Honors Program. If you would like to donate in another way, please contact us at
